Natural Homemade Foot Cream

Equipment

  • Double boiler or heat-safe bowl and pot
  • Electric hand mixer or stand mixer
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Glass jar with airtight lid
  • Spatula or spoon for mixing

Materials

  • 1/4 cup Shea butter
  • 1/4 cup Coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 10 drops Peppermint essential oil
  • 5 drops Tea tree essential oil

Instructions

  • Set up a double boiler by placing a heat-safe bowl over a pot of simmering water. Make sure the bottom of the bowl doesn't touch the water.
  • Add the shea butter and coconut oil to the bowl. Stir occasionally until both are completely melted and well combined.
  • Remove the bowl from heat and stir in the olive oil.
  • Allow the mixture to cool at room temperature for about 15-20 minutes, or until it starts to become slightly opaque around the edges.
  • Add the peppermint and tea tree essential oils to the mixture.
  • Using an electric hand mixer or stand mixer, whip the mixture on medium-high speed for 3-5 minutes, or until it becomes light, fluffy, and resembles whipped cream.
  • Transfer the whipped foot cream to a clean, airtight glass jar.
  • Label the jar with the date and contents. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Notes

- This foot cream is best used within 3-6 months for optimal freshness.
- Apply a small amount to clean, dry feet and massage thoroughly. - For an extra treat, apply before bed and wear cotton socks overnight.
- If you have sensitive skin, perform a patch test before full application.
- Adjust essential oils according to preference, but avoid increasing the amount as they are potent.
- This cream may make feet slippery, so be cautious when walking after application.
